Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy M17e 5G in India. In practice, the handset is a rebranded Galaxy A07 5G, which made its debut last month.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and comes with up to 6 GB of RAM alongside 128 GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via microSD. On the front, it features a 6.7-inch IPS display with an HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Cameras and durability

For photography, the Galaxy M17e 5G includes a dual rear camera setup with 50 MP and 2 MP sensors. The front-facing camera is 8 MP. The device also carries an IP54 rating for protection and measures 8.2 mm in thickness.

Battery, software, connectivity and price

Samsung fits the handset with a 6000 mAh battery and support for 25 W charging. It runs Android 16 with One UI 8.0, and Samsung promises 6 years of operating system and security updates.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB‑C port. Pricing starts at 12,999 rupees (about $140) for the 4/128 GB version, while the 6/128 GB option costs 14,499 rupees (about $160).
