4 inches on the outside, 7 inches on the inside
The first high-quality renders of the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra - the company’s next flagship foldable smartphone - have surfaced online. The images were shared by insider Steve Hemmerstoffer (better known as OnLeaks) together with XpertPick, and are said to be based on the device’s CAD files.
If the leak is accurate, the Razr 70 Ultra’s design will be almost unchanged from its predecessor. Motorola appears to be sticking with the familiar clamshell form factor, featuring a large external display, a dual main camera setup, and a slightly rounded metal frame.
The visible tweaks may be limited to a new silver colour option and a refreshed rear-panel finish, using a fabric-style texture.
Early information also points to a 4-inch outer screen and a 7-inch inner display. While the look seems set to remain the same, the specifications are expected to improve - although no concrete details have been disclosed yet.
In terms of size, the Razr 70 Ultra measures 88 x 74.1 x 15.8 mm when folded, and 171.3 x 74.1 x 7.8 mm when unfolded.
Steve Hemmerstoffer has an extensive track record of producing accurate renders of smartphones ahead of their official announcements. Notable examples include leaks involving the Samsung Galaxy S21, Huawei Mate 40, Pixel 5, Sony Xperia XZ4, Google Pixel 4 XL, and many others.
