Xiaomi has launched global sales of the Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro speaker system. The set-previously sold in China as the Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro-has been priced at roughly $109.

Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro: what’s included

The package consists of a main unit featuring a four-way speaker design, plus a wireless subwoofer. The primary speaker houses two 10-watt upward-firing drivers and passive radiators intended to broaden the stereo effect. The subwoofer uses a 96 mm driver and is rated to reproduce frequencies down to 60 Hz.

Low-latency wireless link and DSP processing

Communication between the two modules runs over a low-latency 2.4 GHz connection. Audio is handled by a DSP system with a fully digital signal-processing chain and an amplifier engineered to keep noise low while maintaining a wide dynamic range.

Five equaliser modes are provided: Music, Bass, Vocal, Game and Film. The subwoofer automatically adjusts its tuning according to the selected mode.

Connectivity, microphone and controls

The system supports Bluetooth 5.3, USB and AUX, and it also includes a built-in microphone with echo cancellation. Controls are provided via a rotary knob and buttons on the корпус, making the speakers practical for everyday use with both PCs and smartphones.
