Officially unveiled just over three years ago, the Dacia Jogger remains one of the Romanian brand’s strongest sellers. For that reason, it has now been refreshed, further strengthening the qualities that have driven so many sales in Portugal and across Europe.
With this update, the latest Dacia Jogger gains a new lighting signature, revised styling details and additional technology. And that is not all: the engine line-up has been reworked, bringing changes on that front too.
What has changed?
As this is a facelift, the visual changes are not extensive. On the updated Dacia Jogger, the most noticeable tweaks are the new inverted “T” light signature and a redesigned front grille, similar to the one used on models such as the Dacia Duster.
At the rear, the tail-lights have been altered with an updated light signature and now feature a darker finish, following the outline of the window and wheelarches. The end result is a tougher-looking overall stance.
In side view, depending on trim level, there are new decorative wheel covers or, alternatively, new alloy wheels.
Inside, the headline update is to the materials which, according to Dacia, are now more hard-wearing. On Essential and Expression versions, the seats are trimmed in a new black fabric. On Journey trim, there is a new “blue denim” material. Meanwhile, Extreme versions continue to use washable upholstery and rubber mats.
Technology also moves on. While the pre-facelift model featured an 8-inch infotainment system, the new Dacia Jogger is fitted with a larger 10-inch central display. It is paired with a wireless charging pad for smartphones.
Ahead of the driver, the digital instrument display remains the same size (7 inches), but the layout and presentation of the available information have been refreshed, in line with the Romanian brand’s most recent models.
As with any other Dacia, these versions continue to offer the YouClip system-an ingenious solution that lets you attach various accessories to key points around the cabin, including storage pouches, torches, tablet mounts and more.
New engines
If the Dacia Jogger has only seen modest tweaks elsewhere, the biggest changes are found under the bonnet, starting with the hybrid system, inherited from its “sibling”, the Bigster.
That means the new Dacia Jogger Hybrid now uses a 1.8-litre, naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine and two electric motors-one for drive and one acting as a generator-powered by a 1.4 kWh battery. Total combined system output is 155 cv, with 170 Nm of torque.
The LPG powertrain, known as ECO-G, has also been significantly upgraded. Instead of the previous 1.0-litre unit, it now adopts a new 1.2 turbo three-cylinder engine. Maximum power is 120 cv and, for the first time, it can be paired with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Thanks to the larger LPG tank, increased from 40 to 49.6 litres, the new Dacia Jogger ECO-G claims a longer range (LPG + petrol) of up to 1480 km.
As if that were not enough, the 1.0 TCe engine has been updated too and now produces more power: 100 cv rather than the 90 cv of the pre-facelift versions.
When will it arrive?
The brand has not yet confirmed when the new Dacia Jogger will reach the market, nor the prices it will carry. By way of comparison, the current Jogger is available from €18,500 in five-seat form, and from €19,400 in the seven-seat version.
